What we collect from visitors
The site has no visitor accounts, forms or comments, so there is nothing for you to type in. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It sets no cookies. It counts visits with a short-lived identifier that is discarded within a day, and we only see aggregate numbers such as pages, referrers, countries and device types. The embeddable map at /embed runs no analytics.
Logs
Vercel, which hosts the website, keeps standard request logs such as IP address and browser type to run and protect the service. We do not use them to identify visitors.
If you email us, we use your message and address to reply, and we keep the conversation as long as it matters for the record, for example a correction request.
Editors
People who review entries sign in with an email link. That sets a session cookie for them only.
What the record contains
Entries describe incidents at organizations, taken from public sources: regulator records, breach notification services, security feeds and news. We do not publish personal data about individuals, and attacker IP addresses are cut to a /24 and never shown. If an entry contains information about you as a person, email founders@heimwall.ai and we will remove it.
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
