Anthropic disrupted clusters it suspects are ShinyHunters affiliates who used Claude to find leaked credentials, widen access and bulk-export data for extortion. One affiliate scanned 1.8 million Android apps for secrets. A technology provider lost over a terabyte of data, and at an airline the actors reached systems holding tens of millions of passenger records. After breaching a SaaS provider, one affiliate took data from about 200 of its customer organizations.
