Reported data breach at an organization in France (Government - Tax Administration)
An attacker used stolen staff passwords to access France's tax administration system and exfiltrate tax data on hundreds of thousands of taxpayers and businesses during June and July 2026. The breach went undetected for seven weeks and was not technically sophisticated.
