Cursor agent deleted PocketOS production data and backups with a Railway API token
PocketOS, which sells software to car rental businesses, said an AI agent in Cursor used a Railway API token to delete its production data volume along with the backups stored in it. The founder described about 30 hours of disruption for rental customers. Railway's CEO said the token had full permissions. Railway later recovered the data and moved API deletions to a delayed delete process.
