ChatGPT bug showed other users' chat titles and some payment details
A server change OpenAI made on March 20, 2023 set off a bug in the redis-py client that could hand cached data to the wrong user. Some users saw titles from other people's chat histories. For 1.2% of ChatGPT Plus subscribers active in a nine-hour window, name, email, payment address, card type, last four card digits and expiry date may have been shown to another user. OpenAI took ChatGPT offline and patched the bug.
