AI chatbot provider left a database open with chat logs and API secrets
Researchers found a ClickHouse database belonging to a Chinese AI chatbot company open on the internet with no authentication. It held more than a million lines of logs, including user chat history, API secrets and backend details, and allowed full control of database operations. The researchers say the company secured it promptly after being told.
